The Story Behind BobaMania.

BobaMania is a shop that sells premium bubble tea. We are a locally, independently owned business located in Midtown Village minutes away from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. The majority of our drinks are caffeinated and contain some form of boba. We offer 26 flavors plus additional seasonal offerings.

When the two of us set out to open BobaMania, we knew it would take a lot of hard work. Bubble tea was pretty much an unheard of concept in Tuscaloosa, AL. It was the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic with long shipping delays, rising costs of ingredients and equipment, and a nation-wide labor shortage. Given all this, we feel extremely fortunate to have built a community of team members and customers who believe in and support us everyday.

While we do love boba tea, our highest priority is bringing people together and improving the lives of everyone in our community. That includes our employees, our customers, and our neighbors. Everyday we strive to create an environment and business that benefits the people of Tuscaloosa through our time and philanthropy. What we offer is an experience you can’t find anywhere else in town. After all, bubble tea makes people come together, it makes them feel at home, and it makes them happy.
